IDP Foundation Strengthens Partnership with Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine
The IDP Foundation is excited to announce that it has entered into another partnership with Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine with the newly-created IDP Foundation Cardiac Research Grant. Over the next five years, the $1 million grant will help to advance the efforts of the Heart Valve Disease Research Program in the Center for Cardiovascular Innovation.
The focus will be to establish a cardiovascular imaging center and advance projects focused on improved outcomes in aortic stenosis through multimodality cardiovascular imaging, basic research, and clinical application. The IDP Foundation’s partnership will accelerate research and advance care for patients by ensuring that the faculty have the resources to continue developing groundbreaking approaches for individuals living with heart valve disease.
The Foundation’s partnership with Northwestern has been in existence since the inception of the IDP Foundation. Since then, the Foundation has created the IDP Foundation Research Scientists Fund and the IDP Foundation Research Innovation Challenge Grant for cancer research. The Foundation views its grants as catalytic capital to bring in additional funding for cutting-edge research initiatives. The investigators that the IDP Foundation support are dedicated to both advancing medical knowledge through pioneering research, and providing compassionate, state-of-the-art patient care.
