Branch Coordinator of the Month: Emmanuel
Announcing our Branch Coordinator (BC) for January: Emmanuel Opoku of the Sunyani branch!
The IDP Rising Schools Program has provided training and resources to over 580 school proprietors and has reached over 138,000 students. The great success of our program would not be possible without Emmanuel and the rest of our Sinapi Aba BC team!
When speaking with Emmanuel about his three years as a BC, it is clear that he has great passion for the work that he does. He describes the joy that comes from experiencing the journey the school proprietors take throughout the training and loan process and the excitement he has when he sees how far the schools have come.
“Even though there are some challenges that I face…I am able to overcome them and work effectively.” Emmanuel
Emmanuel also stood out this month due to his strong relationships he has built with the proprietors he works with, supporting them and building their school communities from the ground up. Most of the proprietors begin with just a few students and no proper learning space. Their hard work and determination to create a better school plus their willingness to share the experience with Emmanuel is what inspires him to show up each day.
We also asked Emmanuel to describe any challenges he has faced as a Branch Coordinator. His positive outlook was clear in his response: “Even though there are some challenges that I face…I am able to overcome them and work effectively.” We are lucky to have such a supportive and positive BC contributing to the IDPRS program! Congratulations Emmanuel!
